Deck overview

This mono-red Commander deck is piloted by Lathliss, Dragon Queen and focuses on explosive Dragon tribal stompy strategies. The deck accelerates through early turns using tribal cost-reducers such as Dragonspeaker Shaman and Urza's Incubator to deploy its commander ahead of curve on Turn 4 or 5. Once Lathliss is established, every subsequent Dragon cast doubles as a board expansion engine by generating 5/5 flying Dragon tokens. Payoffs like Dragon Tempest, Terror of the Peaks, and Scourge of Valkas convert these creature entries into direct burn, while heavy hitters like Utvara Hellkite and Terror of Mount Velus rapidly close out games through overwhelming aerial combat. Defensively, free and low-cost redirection spells like Deflecting Swat and Bolt Bend protect key pieces from spot removal. While vulnerable to mass exile sweepers and enchantment locks, the deck features immense threat density and solid recovery.
