Upkeep Project

Format: Commander

Commander: Obeka, Splitter of Seconds

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Obeka, Splitter of Seconds is a Grixis upkeep-trigger engine. The deck's primary plan is to connect with Obeka in combat to generate multiple additional upkeep steps, then chain upkeep triggers that produce tokens, treasures, card advantage, and alternate win conditions. Secondary paths include direct alternate-win permanents such as Hellkite Tyrant, Mechanized Production, Revel in Riches, and Darksteel Reactor, plus monarch and combat damage. The commander is the central multiplier; without her, the deck still accrues value but cannot execute its fastest wins. The hidden commander is The Ninth Doctor, which provides a second source of extra upkeeps. The deck is built to use Obeka's combat trigger as the primary engine, with The Ninth Doctor as backup.
