[Primer] Extra-Dimensional Extermination - Azlask EDH

Format: Commander

Commander: Azlask, the Swelling Scourge

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Eldrazi token swarm strategy helmed by Azlask, the Swelling Scourge. The primary game plan is to generate a multitude of colorless Eldrazi Spawn/Scion tokens, allow them to die (via sacrifice or combat) to accumulate experience counters, and then activate Azlask's pump ability to turn the entire board into a lethal force. The deck leans heavily on token-multiplying effects like Renewed Solidarity and Elspeth, Storm Slayer, and it can also win incrementally through Glaring Fleshraker's pings each time a colorless creature enters. Secondary paths include a huge Idol of Oblivion token or recursion via Spawnbed Protector. The deck operates as a midrange token engine, grinding out value from death triggers and token duplication, then finishing with an overrun-style pump.
