Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Boros combat and token engine led by Otharri, Suns' Glory. The primary strategy accelerates into Otharri on Turn 4, leveraging native haste to immediately bank an experience counter and create an attacking 2/2 Rebel token. Because experience counters remain permanently on the player, each subsequent attack scales token production exponentially. The list features heavy functional redundancy across 10 extra combat spells and 7 creature ETB burn pingers, allowing it to turn combat steps into direct table-wide damage. Free and convokable protection spells like Flawless Maneuver and Clever Concealment shield the board against sweepers, while Otharri's ability to reanimate from the graveyard by tapping an untapped Rebel ensures resilient threat recurrence. Independent token creators like Adeline, Resplendent Cathar and Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon guarantee that the deck maintains lethal pressure even if the commander is removed, reliably closing the game by Turn 6.
