Deck overview

This deck is a competitive Azorius combo-control list centered on Heliod, the Radiant Dawn. The strategy aims to ramp aggressively into Heliod, transform him into Heliod, the Warped Eclipse, and leverage his passive ability to cast spells at flash speed with colossal mana discounts whenever opponents draw cards. By flashing in symmetrical draw spells and wheels like Windfall, Timetwister, and Echo of Eons, the deck reduces the cost of its spells by {21} or more. This enables instant-speed storm chains through Chromatic Orrery, Hullbreaker Horror, or Psychosis Crawler, drawing the entire deck and eliminating all three opponents simultaneously. The list is heavily fortified by cEDH-caliber free interaction, including Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, and Mindbreak Trap, alongside silence effects like Teferi, Time Raveler and Ranger-Captain of Eos. If the commander is answered, the deck smoothly pivots to an independent infinite-damage combo with Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Walking Ballista.
