Commander: Meren of Clan Nel Toth

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Built around Meren of Clan Nel Toth, this Golgari deck uses self-mill, sacrifice outlets, and cheap sacrifice fodder to stack experience counters, then turns each end step into repeatable reanimation. The primary plan is velocity: mill or tutor Gray Merchant of Asphodel or Archon of Cruelty, sacrifice and recur them every turn, and drain the table while Syr Konrad amplifies every death. Secondary paths are mass-recursion turns with Rise of the Dark Realms or Sheoldred // The True Scriptures, and beatdown from Archon of Cruelty and Valgavoth. Meren is the engine; if she is kept off the board, the thick reanimation suite still executes the game plan. There is no true hidden commander, but Syr Konrad is the key lieutenant.
