Commander: Captain America, Team Leader

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Captain America, Team Leader is a Hero-tribal haste engine. The deck wants to land him early, then chain Heroes so every entry puts a +1/+1 counter on the new Hero and on Captain, and gives the new Hero haste and vigilance. The real offensive centerpiece is Captain America, Wings of Freedom: when it attacks, its toughness buffs every other Hero, so a board of small Heroes becomes a lethal wave. Secondary paths include exile-cast engines such as Cosmic Cube, Jessica Jones, and Nalfeshnee, plus a spells-matter burn package with Thor, Hawkeye, and Human Torch. Super State with Mjolnir or Seize the Day provides the cleanest one-combat finisher. The deck is not a combo deck and runs no counterspells.
