Deck overview

This is a five-color Shrine value deck helmed by Hei Bai, Forest Guardian. The plan is to ramp into Hei Bai, cheat Shrines onto the battlefield with his ETB, then repeatedly blink him (and other ETB engines) to snowball a critical mass of legendary enchantments. Once several Shrines are online, passive drains (Sanctum of Stone Fangs, Northern Air Temple), upkeep damage (Honden of Infinite Rage), token swarms, and Hei Bai's WUBRG activated ability close the game through attrition and combat. Sanctum of All is the premier payoff, tutoring more Shrines and doubling their triggers. There are no infinite combo lines; the deck wins by assembling an overwhelming Shrine engine and out-valuing the table. Blink density (Ephemerate, Displacer Kitten, Thassa, Deep-Dwelling, Soulherder) is the primary accelerator and recovery tool.
