Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Simic deck built around the partner commanders Pir, Imaginative Rascal and Toothy, Imaginary Friend. The primary strategy focuses on curving out both commanders by Turn 4 to establish a self-reinforcing counter and draw engine. With Pir on the battlefield, every card drawn places two +1/+1 counters on Toothy. Burst draw spells like Tolarian Winds and Brainstorm, alongside flicker spells like Planar Incision, rapidly inflate Toothy into a massive threat while drawing dozens of cards. The deck converts this overwhelming resource advantage into a win via unblockable combat damage with Herald of Secret Streams, evasion from Hadana's Climb // Winged Temple of Orazca, or an alternate win with Simic Ascendancy. Strong protection spells like Fierce Guardianship and Ripples of Potential defend the engine, while Toothy's death trigger guarantees card advantage even if opponents remove it.
