Lord Eagles Flying by user2442036

Format: Commander

Commander: The Lord of the Eagles

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-blue flying deck aims to turn a small board of evasive birds and drakes into a huge discount on The Lord of the Eagles, then close the game with a swiftly growing flying army. It blends a low-to-the-ground beatdown curve with a counter-heavy control package, keeping opponents off balance while cost reducers make even the most expensive flyers cheap. The commander is a flash finisher that can be deployed at end step, and support cards like Thassa, Deep-Dwelling and Talrand, Sky Summoner provide incremental value. The primary plan is cheap flyers into a discounted 8/8 commander; secondary lines include stealing value through Hullbreaker Horror and generating enough drakes from Talrand to overwhelm the board. There is no double-faced commander; the deck is plainly built around The Lord of the Eagles.
