Deck overview

The Mycotyrant commands a resilient Golgari aristocrats and self-mill deck designed to turn graveyard recursion into an overwhelming board presence and lethal combo finishes. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with mana dorks, cheap dredgers, and mill enablers such as Stitcher's Supplier, Hermit Druid, and Mesmeric Orb. Deploying The Mycotyrant on Turn 3 converts every descent trigger into a growing horde of 1/1 Fungus tokens, inflating the commander's power and providing endless sacrifice fodder. From this engine, the deck converts token swarms into massive card draw through Skullclamp and Plumb the Forbidden, or establishes asymmetric lockouts using Contamination and Sadistic Hypnotist. To close the game, the deck uses graveyard tutors like Buried Alive to assemble the primary combo: Warren Soultrader and Gravecrawler paired with a blood artist effect like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, or Marionette Apprentice. This produces an infinite life-draining loop that eliminates the table on Turn 5 with zero response cycles.
