Deck overview

This deck leverages Zagras, Thief of Heartbeats to turn small pingers and damage triggers into lethal removal engines. By giving all creatures deathtouch, cards like Goblin Sharpshooter, Cunning Sparkmage, and Goblin Chainwhirler wipe opposing boards and eliminate newly cast threats at instant speed. The deck accelerates into play using cheap party enablers such as Changeling Outcast and Universal Automaton, reducing Zagras's casting cost to as little as two mana. Once opposing creature boards are locked down, the deck transitions into an unblockable beatdown strategy using Zagras's flying haste body and Vampire lords like Bloodline Keeper and Cordial Vampire, supplemented by life drain from Blood Artist and Anje, Maid of Dishonor. Card draw engines like Morbid Opportunist and Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls keep resources flowing as creatures die.
