Deck overview

Monoblack Rat Colony deck built around Marrow-Gnawer. The primary plan is to flood the board with cheap Rat Colonies, use Marrow-Gnawer to multiply them exponentially, then kill via combat or drain outlets (Ayara, Mirkwood Bats, Valley Rotcaller). Thornbite Staff plus Marrow-Gnawer creates an untap loop that, with a drain outlet, ends the game. A second combo line pairs Sheoldred, the Apocalypse with Peer into the Abyss. Rat Colony is effectively a hidden commander, with Thrumming Stone turning it into a free-cast chain. Tutors and fast mana assemble the pieces, while Xiahou Dun, Phyrexian Reclamation, and Volrath's Stronghold provide recursion.
