Deck overview

This deck is a political control and counters midrange strategy commanded by Kros, Defense Contractor. It leverages Bant colors to distribute shield, +1/+1, and specialty counters onto opposing creatures. Whenever Kros places a counter on an opponent's creature, that creature is tapped, goaded, and given trample, effectively removing it as a blocker while forcing it into combat against the rest of the table. Engines like Generous Patron and Verity Circle capitalize on this mechanic by turning opponent targeting and tapping into substantial card draw. Defensive enchantments such as Ghostly Prison and Propaganda protect your life total while opponents eliminate each other. Once the game reduces to a 1v1 duel where goad loses efficacy, the deck closes the game by leveraging accumulated counters, evasion, and wide board buffs from cards like Court of Garenbrig, Gavony Township, and Skyboon Evangelist.
