Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius control strategy led by Elminster, converting scry triggers and top-deck manipulation into massive mana discounts and wide evasive token armies. The primary game plan ramps on turn 2 to deploy Elminster on turn 4, using his +2 loyalty ability to draw cards and scry high-mana-value spells such as Aminatou's Augury, Dig Through Time, or Vanquish the Horde to the top of the library. On turn 5, Elminster's -3 ability exiles the top card to spawn eight or more 1/1 flying Faerie Dragon tokens. Doublers like Mondrak, Glory Dominus and Bard, King of Dale amplify this swarm, while asymmetric sweepers like Hour of Reckoning and Faerie Slumber Party clear opposing boards. Defensive pillowfort pieces like Baird, Steward of Argive and Windborn Muse protect Elminster from early combat pressure, and efficient countermagic ensures the swarm connects over two attack cycles to defeat all three opponents by turn 7.
