Bardly working by Boki

Format: Commander

Commander: Bard, King of Dale

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Bard, King of Dale is a proactive Azorius value engine that doubles both extra draws and token creation. The deck packs a dense network of 'second draw' token generators - Ethereal Investigator, Alandra, Mischievous Mystic, Homunculus Horde - and uses them to build an overwhelming board of small fliers/tokens while Teferi's Ageless Insight and Caretaker's Talent multiply the cards and tokens. Wins come from a large board plus one of the scalable pump effects: Knowledge Is Power, Moonshaker Cavalry, or Akroma's Will. Secondary angles include Psychosis Crawler life-loss from huge draw turns and a 10/10 from Idol of Oblivion. It is fair Magic: no infinite combo, but resilient and hard to stop once the engines are online.
