Commander: The Unagi of Kyoshi Island

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This is a mono-blue draw-engine control deck helmed by The Unagi of Kyoshi Island. The commander taxes opposing card flow-whenever an opponent draws their second card in a turn, you draw two-while presenting a flash 5/5 with Ward-Waterbend. The 99 pairs that trigger with group-draw pieces (Howling Mine, Kami of the Crescent Moon, Anvil of Bogardan) and premium engines (Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, Consecrated Sphinx) to bury the table in cards, then converts the advantage into compact combo wins. Primary kill lines are Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal infinite mana, Mind Over Matter loops, Hullbreaker Horror/Tidespout Tyrant bounce locks, and Triskaidekaphile at thirteen cards, with Folio of Fancies as a mill outlet. A dense free-counter suite protects the window. The deck plays as interactive blue combo that turns every opposing cantrip into fuel.
