Deck overview

This is a Merry, Warden of Isengard and Pippin, Warden of Isengard Food-token deck. The commanders provide early access to one another, while cards such as Tireless Provisioner, Peregrin Took, Bilbo, Fellow Conspirator, and Sam, Loyal Attendant build Food and Treasure resources. Token doublers including Anointed Procession, Parallel Lives, and Mondrak, Glory Dominus can turn those resources into a large board. Peregrin Took, Belladonna Took, Mentor of the Meek, and The Gaffer provide card flow, while Pippin, Warden of Isengard can convert four Foods into a hasty +3/+3 attack. The deck is strongest in a long, creature-focused game where its token engines survive. Its main limits are slow assembly, weak tutoring, limited protection, and the lack of a deterministic finish. Combat remains vulnerable to blockers and sweepers, and the drain subtheme from Mirkwood Bats or Nadier's Nightblade is pressure rather than a lock.
