Heavy Metal by gjersey121

Format: Commander

Commander: Toph, the First Metalbender

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Toph, the First Metalbender leads a land-animation deck that deliberately blurs artifacts and lands. The primary plan is to use Toph to turn nontoken artifacts into lands, then have Earthbend effects make them 0/0 haste land creatures with +1/+1 counters for a combat-heavy finish. Secondary paths use artifact recursion (Scrap Mastery, Trash for Treasure, Trading Post) and landfall payoffs (Avenger of Zendikar, Titania, Tireless Provisioner), while All Will Be One plus Quest for Pure Flame offers a counter-based damage alternative. Backup Toph legends and other Earthbenders provide redundancy. There is no hidden commander; the deck is unambiguously built around the face commander's artifact-land conversion.
