Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue spellslinger tempo and control build piloted by Ruric Thar, Biomagus. It leverages a dense suite of 1-mana cantrips and cheap interaction to trigger double prowess on the commander and generate expansive flying token armies via Talrand, Sky Summoner, Murmuring Mystic, Hermes, Overseer of Elpis, and Shark Typhoon. The mana base is rock-solid and backed by efficient 2-CMC mana rocks and late-game mana doublers like Gauntlet of Power and Caged Sun. While the deck avoids infinite combos, it controls the stack decisively using elite countermagic including Force of Will, Force of Negation, Fierce Guardianship, and Mana Drain, alongside 8 dedicated 1-mana hexproof protection spells. Victory is achieved through evasive lethal commander damage and wide token beats, frequently paved by an overloaded Cyclonic Rift.
