Too many Reeds by kestraledge

Format: Commander

Commander: Council of Reeds

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Council of Reeds is the centerpiece of a monoblue token-doubling engine. The deck plays a noncreature spell before combat every turn, so every copy of Council creates another Council during the beginning-of-combat step, snowballing from two copies to dozens in a few turns. Copy spells such as Fated Infatuation and Quasiduplicate add extra Councils before the trigger wave, while Mister Fantastic and Kindred Discovery convert those tokens into cards. Coat of Arms and similar tribal anthems turn the wide board into a lethal swing. Control density from eleven counterspells protects the chain. Secondary plans copy opponent's permanents and use Omniscience or One with the Multiverse to power out huge spells, but the token army is the primary clock.
