Deck overview

This Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign deck focuses on controlling the top card of the library to cheat massive, odd-costed spells into play for free upon attacking. Leveraging cards like Sensei's Divining Top, Brainstorm, and Doom Whisperer, it curates the topdeck to cast game-altering bombs such as Void Winnower, Breach the Multiverse, The Ur-Sphinx, and Magister Sphinx without paying mana. Supported by Esper's premier suite of spot removal, flexible sweepers, and defensive taxing permanents like Ghostly Prison and Fatespinner, the deck controls opposing tempo while developing its curve. Once Yennett swings, the resulting influx of free mana and massive evasive threats overwhelms opponents across two to three combat cycles.
