Yidris - Cascade

Format: Commander

Commander: Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck leverages Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder to unleash massive cascade value chains and overwhelm opponents through explosive card advantage and large board presence. The game plan focuses on casting Yidris early, granting him evasion via cards like Whispersilk Cloak or Aqueous Form, and connecting in combat. Once Yidris triggers, casting high-cost spells cascades through the deck into mid-range threats, exile payoffs, and ramp. Mid-game payoffs such as Prosper, Tome-Bound, Faldorn, Dread Wolf Herald, and Keeper of Secrets translate cascaded spells into tokens, burn, and mana. The deck closes games through massive combat waves featuring Apex Devastator, Maelstrom Wanderer, and Nalfeshnee.
