Deck overview

This deck is a classic Golgari Elfball strategy commanded by Lathril, Blade of the Elves. The primary plan leverages a high density of one-mana mana dorks to deploy Lathril ahead of curve on Turn 3. By attacking with natural menace on Turn 4, Lathril generates a wide board of Elf tokens that amplify tribal mana producers such as Priest of Titania, Elvish Archdruid, and Circle of Dreams Druid. On Turn 5, this massive mana pool channels directly into lethal overrun effects like Craterhoof Behemoth or repeated activations of Ezuri, Renegade Leader. Alternatively, the deck can assemble infinite mana and pump loops using Marwyn, the Nurturer with Umbral Mantle, or burn opponents down via Lathril's ten-Elf tap ability. The deck is fast, synergistic, and capable of operating independently of its commander, but relies heavily on creature presence and struggles against exile-based board wipes.
