Deck overview

This is a low-to-the-ground Abzan combo deck helmed by Tayam, Luminous Enigma, built around counter manipulation and graveyard recursion. The primary plan is to assemble an infinite engine - most commonly Yawgmoth, Thran Physician paired with a persist/undying creature like Geralf's Messenger or Kitchen Finks for infinite drain, or Devoted Druid for infinite mana - then use Tayam's activated ability to recur pieces from the graveyard and close the game. A dense stax package (Gaddock Teeg, Deafening Silence, Root Maze, Collector Ouphe) slows opponents while the deck assembles. Secondary wins include combat beats from Hallowed Spiritkeeper spirit tokens and drain from Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, and Corpse Knight. The deck plays a tutor-heavy, fast-mana game with Ad Nauseam and Necropotence providing burst card advantage.
