Format: Commander

Commander: Oloro, Ageless Ascetic

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Oloro, Ageless Ascetic is a single-faced Esper control/lifegain deck that functions with him in the command zone. The primary plan is to accumulate life through his upkeep trigger and pillow-fort enchantments, then win with an infinite drain loop using one 'opponent loses life -> you gain life' effect (Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror) plus one 'you gain life -> opponent loses life' effect (Sanguine Bond, Vito, Defiant Bloodlord, or Vizkopa Guildmage). Secondary paths are Aetherflux Reservoir life-drain, Felidar Sovereign/Test of Endurance upkeep wins, and Approach of the Second Sun. Oloro's activated draw turns lifegain into cards, while Zur the Enchanter operates as a hidden commander that puts enchantments into play each combat.
