Food and Hobbits

Format: Commander

Commander: Merry, Warden of Isengard and Pippin, Warden of Isengard

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Abzan Food-token deck is helmed by the partner pair Merry, Warden of Isengard and Pippin, Warden of Isengard. The core plan is to generate a critical mass of Food and creature tokens, then convert them into a lethal board: Pippin's activated ability sacrifices four Foods to give the team +3/+3 and haste, while Merry turns every artifact entering (including Foods) into a 1/1 Soldier with lifelink. The engine is supercharged by Peregrin Took (extra Food on every token), Academy Manufactor (Clue/Food/Treasure), and Primal Vigor (doubling). Primary wins are a wide pump swing, Mirkwood Bats drain, or the Scurry Oak + Rosie Cotton infinite combo. Secondary finishers include Preposterous Proportions and For the Common Good.
