Deck overview

This Boros deck combines a classic Voltron beatdown plan with pillowfort defenses centered on Risona, Asari Commander. Risona enters early with haste, earning an indestructible counter on her first successful combat connection. The deck leverages this built-in resilience to equip aggressive enhancements like Colossus Hammer, Bloodforged Battle-Axe, and the game-warping Worldslayer. To safeguard Risona's indestructible counter from being stripped by incoming combat damage, the deck deploys tax effects such as Ghostly Prison, Windborn Muse, and Archon of Absolution. Card advantage engines like Sram, Senior Edificer and Puresteel Paladin help replenish the hand as equipment enters play, while alternate threats like Balan, Wandering Knight and Danitha, Benalia's Hope provide redundant offensive pivots. Because the list lacks instant-speed spot removal and relies on sequential single-target combat damage, games are won through patient attrition, evasive strikes, and resilient board-wipe parity.
