Deck overview

This deck leverages Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder to convert combat damage into explosive post-combat cascade chains. Powered by an extensive ramp package that fixes all four colors, the deck aims to cast Yidris early, grant it evasion via equipment, and connect with an opponent on turn four or five. Once active, casting mid-to-high cost spells triggers cascading chains of free permanents, overwhelming the table with gigantic threats like Apex Devastator, Hullbreaker Horror, and Maelstrom Wanderer. Protection pieces like Heroic Intervention and Whispersilk Cloak keep Yidris safe from enemy interaction. If Yidris is removed, independent cascade engines such as Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty and Abaddon the Despoiler ensure the deck can continue deploying massive boards and close out games through overwhelming combat pressure.
