Deck overview

This deck is a focused Dimir Aristocrats and Zombie Tribal combo deck commanded by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. The primary strategy leverages Wilhelt's token-generating trigger alongside self-recurring Zombies like Gravecrawler and free sacrifice outlets such as Phyrexian Altar and Altar of Dementia. By looping recursive creatures and converting sacrificed bodies into mana and fresh decayed tokens, the deck generates infinite mana, infinite death triggers, and infinite enter-the-battlefield events. These loops convert directly into immediate table-wide wins through drain payoffs like Blood Artist, Plague Belcher, and The Meathook Massacre, or library depletion via Altar of Dementia. Outside of pure combo finishes, the deck maintains heavy board control through Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos, systematically removing opposing creature boards while maintaining card velocity through Wilhelt and draw engines like Kindred Discovery.
