Deck overview

This deck executes a high-tempo Dimir Ninjutsu strategy led by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary plan opens with cheap, evasive one-drop creatures like Changeling Outcast and Ornithopter on Turn 1, enabling a Turn 2 Commander ninjutsu attack. Yuriko's combat damage trigger simultaneously draws cards and burns each opponent for the revealed card's mana value. The deck maximizes this damage by packing high-mana-value spells such as Draco, Temporal Trespass, and Omniscience, using topdeck manipulation spells like Brainstorm and Vampiric Tutor to guarantee devastating hits. Because Commander ninjutsu bypasses standard commander tax and spell countermagic, the deck recovers rapidly from removal. It backs up its aggressive clock with efficient interaction, protective counterspells, and a compact alternate win condition in Thassa's Oracle paired with Demonic Consultation.
