Tempest Cycle by Psyga315

Format: Commander

Commander: Vhati il-Dal

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Vhati il-Dal is a board-control and pseudo-voltron commander. The main plan is to shrink opposing creatures to base toughness 1 using Vhati or Maha, then delete them through deathtouch, infect, or -1/-1 counter triggers, while equipping Vhati with Swords to close through commander damage. Secondary paths include a Phyrexian Crusader poison clock and token-value beats from Hapatra and Grismold. The commander is primarily a repeatable shrink engine rather than the only beater, and the deck also packs color-hate permanents like Choke, Tsunami, and Dread of Night to neutralize blue and white opponents. There is no hidden commander; the strongest sub-theme is -1/-1 counter synergy with Hapatra and Obelisk Spider.
