Deck overview

This Grixis midrange deck is led by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria, combining a dedicated Villain kindred theme with connive and discard mechanics. The deck establishes early board presence through low-cost Villains and mana rocks before deploying Doctor Doom on Turn 4. Doom provides consistent card selection and incremental reach by conniving each combat and burning opponents whenever lands are discarded. Mid-game turns leverage token generators like Madame Hydra and Ultron, Unlimited alongside anthem effects such as Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon and The Squadron Sinister to build an evasive, high-power army. A robust suite of targeted removal and asymmetric sweepers like Kindred Dominance clears opposing paths while graveyard recursion spells provide late-game staying power. The deck wins by delivering lethal combat damage backed by direct life loss across Turns 6 through 8.
