Deck overview

This deck is an Esper combat-reanimator strategy commanded by Raffine, Scheming Seer. The game plan curves out with cheap, evasive utility creatures on turns 1 and 2, lands Raffine on turn 3, and attacks on turn 4 to generate massive connive triggers. These triggers filter cards, sculpt the hand, grow attackers with +1/+1 counters, and discard massive threats directly into the graveyard. On turn 4, cheap reanimation spells such as Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Persist bring format-warping bombs like Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Archon of Cruelty, and Valgavoth, Terror Eater into play ahead of curve. The deck lacks fast mana, infinite combos, and targeted tutors, relying entirely on heavy role redundancy to execute its plan. While it exerts strong combat pressure and incidental attrition, its reliance on Raffine as its primary discard engine and a lack of instant-speed spot removal make it vulnerable to interaction and opposing combo decks.
