Deck overview

This deck is a classic Golgari Aristocrats and Graveyard Reanimator list led by Meren of Clan Nel Toth. It uses early mana dorks to deploy Meren ahead of curve, building experience counters through recurring self-sacrificing creatures like Sakura-Tribe Elder and Plaguecrafter. The deck controls creature-heavy boards using Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos while filling the graveyard with tutors such as Buried Alive and Unmarked Grave. Its primary win condition is an infinite persist combo featuring Melira, Sylvok Outcast (or Mikaeus, the Unhallowed), Putrid Goblin, and a free sacrifice outlet like Carrion Feeder, Viscera Seer, or Altar of Dementia, with Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthroat draining the table. While highly resilient against creature combat and destroy-based board wipes, the deck lacks instant-speed stack interaction and is vulnerable to dedicated graveyard hate.
