Deck overview

This is a Zaxara, the Exemplary Hydra and X-spell deck. Its core plan is to ramp, cast Zaxara, and turn scalable spells into large Hydra bodies while counter doublers make each investment larger. Hydroid Krasis, Genesis Hydra, Finale of Devastation, and Exsanguinate give the deck useful high-end mana sinks. The strongest ceiling is the Zaxara and Freed from the Real infinite-mana interaction, but the deck still needs a separate payoff and does not reliably tutor the aura. In ordinary games, the deck assembles a meaningful board around turn 6 and creates a must-answer threat around turn 7, usually through a large X spell backed by Branching Evolution, Doubling Season, or Corpsejack Menace. It has respectable protection and flexible interaction, but limited proactive denial, modest card access, and no dependable table-kill route. It performs as a mid-power value-combo deck rather than a cEDH list.
