Deck overview

This Azorius tempo deck leverages Lyse Hext to combine spellslinger velocity with voltron combat pressure. The commander provides continuous mana reduction for noncreature spells and gains double strike whenever two noncreature spells are cast in a single turn. The deck capitalizes on this double strike condition by deploying cheap combat damage draw auras like Curiosity and Staggering Insight, which replenish the hand twice per combat step. Evasion spells ensure commander attacks connect cleanly, while low-cost protection instants defend key permanents from opposing disruption. Secondary threats such as Monastery Mentor and Aligned Heart generate wide token boards that scale alongside spell casts, providing a resilient alternate win condition. The overall strategy maintains mana efficiency, drawing through the library rapidly while applying escalating combat pressure to eliminate opponents one by one.
