Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis combat-aggro and artifact synergy list built around Edward Kenway. It establishes early board presence through low-curve Pirates and utility Vehicles, using evasive attackers to trigger early Treasure ramp and combat-based card draw. By Turn 4, the commander enters play, turning tapped crew members and attackers into an end-step influx of Treasure tokens. These accumulated artifacts both ramp into midgame threats and trigger abilities from cards like Captain Storm, Cosmium Raider and Mirkwood Bats. The deck pivots from setup to lethal pressure around Turn 6 by deploying wide-board multipliers such as Shared Animosity, Angrath's Marauders, or Cyberdrive Awakener, converting passive artifact tokens into 4/4 flying beaters. The interaction package features flexible spot removal and targeted countermagic to protect key investments. While vulnerable to timely board wipes, the deck's multiple coastal draw engines and mass reanimation options provide resilient midgame recovery.
