Deck overview

This deck is an Esper combat-tempo and reanimator strategy commanded by Raffine, Scheming Seer. The game plan curves out with evasive low-cost creatures on the first two turns, casts Raffine on Turn 3, and attacks aggressively on Turn 4 to trigger large connive abilities. Conniving loots deep through the library, placing +1/+1 counters on attackers to build a fast flying clock while discarding large reanimation targets like Archfiend of Ifnir, Dream Trawler, and Shadowgrange Archfiend. Cheap reanimation spells such as Priest of Fell Rites and Stitch Together cheat these high-mana threats into play ahead of curve. The deck protects its board using on-board disruptive creatures like Selfless Spirit and Siren Stormtamer alongside efficient countermagic. While the deck lacks fast mana rocks and direct tutors, its high card velocity, low mana curve, and resilient creature suite reliably close games through evasive combat damage and one-sided creature attrition by Turn 7.
