Deck overview

This Grixis midrange deck is commanded by Sauron, the Dark Lord, leveraging the amass Orcs mechanic and Ring Temptation triggers to establish massive board presence and overwhelming card advantage. The deck ramps into Sauron by Turn 5, taking immediate advantage of opponents' spellcasts to grow a formidable Orc Army. Once combat begins on Turn 6, attacking with an Army triggers the Ring's temptation, allowing you to discard spent cards and refill with four fresh ones each turn. Life totals are pressured through massive commander swings, unblockable Army attacks, and compounding token burn engines such as Mirkwood Bats and Agate Instigator. While the deck includes an un-tutored infinite combat combo with Combat Celebrant and Helm of the Host, its primary route to victory is resilient token beatdown supported by board-controlling edicts and bounce spells.
