Deck overview

Teval, the Balanced Scale commands a Sultai midrange deck that blends land manipulation, self-mill, and graveyard recursion. The strategy establishes Teval on Turn 3 or 4 to jumpstart a compounding engine. Each attack mills cards, recovers lands directly from the graveyard, and generates 2/2 Zombie Druid tokens as cards leave the graveyard. Backed by engines such as The Gitrog Monster, Six, Life from the Loam, and Lumra, Bellow of the Woods, the deck rapidly stockpiles resources in the graveyard. It converts this advantage into a win on Turn 6 or 7 using mass reanimation from Living Death, an overwhelming board from Lumra, or an infinite loop with Gravecrawler and Phyrexian Altar. Supported by versatile removal like Deadly Rollick and V.A.T.S. alongside land-fueled protection from Sylvan Safekeeper, the deck grinds through opposing interaction with high resilience.
