Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity mono-black combo list commanded by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. K'rrik transforms life into mana by letting you pay 2 life for any black mana symbol in costs. The primary strategy accelerates K'rrik onto the battlefield on Turn 3 using fast mana such as Dark Ritual, Culling the Weak, and Sol Ring. Once K'rrik is active, the deck leverages massive card draw from Necropotence, Peer into the Abyss, Vilis, Broker of Blood, or Bolas's Citadel to assemble an instant table-ending combo. The main win condition pairs Exquisite Blood with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror, creating an infinite life-drain loop that immediately eliminates all three opponents. Supported by efficient black tutors, sacrificial fodder engines, and resilient reanimation options, the deck executes a compact, proactive game plan while utilizing spot removal and edicts to manage opposing threats.
