Deck overview

This Gruul midrange deck is commanded by Kibo, Uktabi Prince, combining Ape and Monkey typal beatdown with aggressive artifact punishment. The core strategy revolves around giving every player Banana tokens with Kibo, then systematically destroying those artifacts alongside opposing mana rocks and equipment. Each destroyed opposing artifact triggers Kibo, placing +1/+1 counters onto your entire Ape and Monkey board. Cheap mass-removal spells like Meltdown and repeatable engines like Gorilla Shaman convert these symmetrical gifts into massive asymmetric stat buffs. Card advantage engines such as Viridian Revel and Rishkar's Expertise refill your hand as artifacts hit the graveyard, while heavy hitters like Kogla, the Titan Ape and Silverback Elder maintain board control. The deck closes games through rapid combat damage supported by trample and unblockable utility lands. While vulnerable to creature sweepers and spell-based combos, the deck applies severe, disruptive pressure against artifact-heavy formats.
