Deck overview

This Naya deck is a dedicated +1/+1 counters combo deck centered on Shalai and Hallar. The primary strategy focuses on assembling a deterministic, instant-speed damage loop that eliminates all three opponents in a single turn. By granting Shalai and Hallar lifelink—using cheap auras like Spirit Link and Sheltered by Ghosts or counters from Splendor Mare—and pairing them with creatures that gain +1/+1 counters upon lifegain like Ajani's Pridemate and Trelasarra, Moon Dancer, any lifegain or counter placement triggers a continuous chain of ping damage and lifegain triggers. The deck supports this line with dense 1–2 CMC ramp, efficient tutors like Open the Armory and Time of Need, and cheap protection spells like Snakeskin Veil and Take Up the Shield. If the primary combo is disrupted, the deck pivots smoothly to a secondary burn engine via All Will Be One or an overwhelming go-wide combat assault fueled by Cathars' Crusade and Damning Verdict.
