Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan midrange strategy centered on the Incubate mechanic, +1/+1 counters, and Phyrexian tribal synergies. Commanded by Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan, the deck converts expendable tokens into persistent power across its entire board. The game plan focuses on generating large Incubator tokens through cards like Brimaz, Blight of Oreskos, Glissa, Herald of Predation, and Glistening Dawn, storing counters safely on noncreature artifacts before flipping them into massive attackers. Proliferate engines and counter-retention artifacts like The Ozolith and Resourceful Defense ensure that combat stats compound rapidly. The deck complements its proactive game plan with efficient removal and one-sided sweepers like Damning Verdict and Sunfall that preserve modified Phyrexian creatures while clearing opposing defenses.
