Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis spellslinger strategy led by Fire Lord Azula. The game plan revolves around deploying Azula and attacking to leverage Firebending 2 and her combat spell-duplication ability. By casting instants and flash spells while Azula is attacking, every spell is copied for free, doubling the output of rituals, cantrips, and burn spells. Supported by Magecraft powerhouses such as Archmage Emeritus, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Ashling, Flame Dancer, the deck quickly converts duplicated spells into immense mana and card draw. Flash enablers like Borne Upon a Wind and Valley Floodcaller allow powerful sorceries to be cast mid-combat, culminating in a massive, duplicated Crackle with Power that eliminates the entire table at once. The deck is shielded by a premier suite of free countermagic and redirection spells, ensuring smooth execution through opposing disruption.
