Liesa, Shroud of Dusk for Punishment by abbojm01

Format: Commander

Commander: Liesa, Shroud of Dusk

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Liesa, Shroud of Dusk leads an Orzhov attrition deck that turns life payments and spell casts into a drain engine. The primary plan is to land Liesa early, tax every spell with her 2-life trigger, and use lifelink plus Kambal, Vito, and extort effects to pull ahead. The actual kill is a two-card loop: Exquisite Blood plus any 'whenever you gain life, opponents lose life' permanent (Vito, Enduring Tenacity, or South Wind Avatar), started by casting any spell so Liesa's trigger feeds the loop. The deck also has strong recursion, mass protection, and enough removal to grind through midrange boards. It is not a fast combo deck; it wins by outlasting and then closing with the life-drain loop.
