Deck overview

This Golgari midrange deck uses Killmonger, Scourge of Wakanda to convert recurring sacrifice fodder into targeted permanent destruction. Early turns focus on filling the graveyard with self-mill creatures like Satyr Wayfinder and deploying resilient fodder such as Reassembling Skeleton and Bloodghast. Once the graveyard contains two or more creature cards, Killmonger enters as a 5/4 threat that destroys an opposing nonland permanent on entry. Mid-game turns leverage reanimation spells and value engines like The Gitrog Monster, Braids, Arisen Nightmare, and Uurg, Spawn of Turg to grind down opponents through incremental card advantage and board control. Because the list does not run combo finishes or mass overrun effects, it wins by dealing fair combat damage over multiple turn cycles. Its primary strengths are high resilience to creature removal and consistent recursion, while its main vulnerabilities are dedicated graveyard hate, sorcery-speed interaction, and a slow, exposed damage clock.
