Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This five-color dragon deck uses The Ur-Dragon's eminence discount to build toward a dragon air force, then turns attack triggers into card advantage and free permanents. The primary plan is to ramp into WUBRG, cast or cheat a critical dragon, and finish with combat multipliers. Secondary paths include Kaalia and Hellkite Courser fast starts, Dracogenesis free casts, and Call the Spirit Dragons as an alternate grind win. The commander is simultaneously the engine and finisher; there is no hidden commander, though Scion of the Ur-Dragon acts as a flexible toolbox. The deck is a resilient midrange-combat deck, but it has no infinite combo and is vulnerable to enchantment-based mana lock.
