Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari token and aristocrats strategy commanded by Hazel of the Rootbloom. The game plan revolves around generating small tokens—primarily Squirrels, Food, and Treasures—and utilizing Hazel's end-step trigger to copy them, creating two copies whenever a Squirrel token is targeted. Hazel doubles as an explosive mana engine by tapping untapped tokens for mana of any color, allowing the deck to jump ahead on mana curve and deploy high-impact threats like Beledros Witherbloom, Tendershoot Dryad, and Grave Titan ahead of schedule. The deck closes games through relentless combat damage from swarms of menace-boosted Squirrels via Camellia, the Seedmiser and Valley Rotcaller, or through table-wide life drain using aristocrat payoffs such as Mirkwood Bats, Nadier's Nightblade, Marionette Apprentice, and Bastion of Remembrance. Robust Golgari interaction and flexible graveyard recursion keep the engine resilient across prolonged multiplayer games.
